III INTERNATIONAL CONGRESS OF
FOOD SCIENCE AND TECHNOLOGY (CICyTAC 2009).

Date: April 15-17, 2009.

Place: Dinosaurio Mall Convention Center, Crdoba- Argentina.

Researchers, professionals, managers, technicians, professors and students are welcomed
to participate in this congress.

Background:
This is the third congress on food science and technology organized by the government of
the Province of Crdoba, Argentina. Previous congresses were held in 2004 and 2006 wich
remained a great success in both number and quality of presentations.
The last congress, held in November 2006, account for 559 presentations of worldwide
researchers as well as 1200 participants.

Goals of CICyTAC 2009:

It is expected that CICyTAC 2009 will contribute to a broad understanding on the
importance of food science on the development of new food products and the need of state
of the art technology to improve food manufacture.

Thus, CICyTAC 2009 aims at:
Enhance interdisciplinary work in Food Science, promoting the discussion of new
hypothesis and the presentation of recent advances in this scientific discipline.
Encourage joint ventures between food industry and food scientist. CICyTAC 2009
will comprise separate sessions for Food Technology as well as a workshop with the
participation of representatives of food manufacturers and scientist, looking to set up
projects of common interest.
To response to the increased social demand to improve food production, inorder to
establish quality and authenticity, that will enable more people accessing to more
nutritive, healthy and safe foods.







Registration and Call for Abstracts:
Pre-registration will be done on-line from September 1, 2008 through the official website
of the Congress: www.mincytalimentos.cba.gov.ar

Those interested in submitting abstracts to CICyTAC 2009 must complete the on-line
form, which will be available from September 1, 2008.

Deadline for submissions: November 30, 2008.
Official languages: Spanish and English.
