UNIT 4: BIG or small


Period: A3+4
I. Objectives:
Students will be able to talk about their school, i.e. the location, size, the number of
students and classrooms, etc.
II. Language focus:
Vocabulary: big >< small; in the country >< in the city.
Grammar:
(?) How many + N-plural + are there?
(+) There are + number + N-plural
III. Teaching aids:
Textbook, laptop, projector, cue cards.
IV. Procedure:

- Divide the class in to 2 groups.
- Explain the rules: each group takes
turn spin the wheel. The groups will
score the indicating points if they
provide correct answers to the
questions. Each group gives one

sentences to talk

Provide some clues/ words and
phrases:

- Thus school: in the city, big, 20
classrooms, 900 students.
Have some students speak out loud
the complete sentences, then have all
students repeat those sentences.

based on the clues
