I am applying for the position of the Lead Teacher for the preschool classroom and with this letter I have
attached my resume. With my skills as being an assistant teacher and working with families in the past, I
am confident that you will take my offer into consideration.
As a student at Ivy Tech Community College and completing different tasks inside and outside of the
classroom, I have the advantage of working in different classroom settings with different age groups. I
prefer to work with preschool aged children because I believe this one of my strengths.
As a lead preschool teacher, I would take everything I have learned in my early childhood courses and
apply them to my classroom. This would include forming/perfecting creative learning centers, writing
developmentally appropriate lesson plans, introducing technology as a learning tool, and creating and
maintaining great relationships with families.
