Sir/Madam:

The second year college students of the Ateneo de Zamboganga University are pleased to uniform you
that the university's College of Nursing will be conducting the annual Community Organizing Action
Participatory Research (COPAR) as a part of the curriculum of the said course.

COPAR is a social development approach that aims to transform the apathetic, individualistic and
voiceless poor into a dynamic, participatory and politically responsive community. It is a process by which a
community identifies its needs and objectives, develops confidence to take action in respect to them and in
doing so, extends and develops cooperative and collaborative attitudes and practice in the community. Verily,
programs to facilitate the goal of this research to improve the chosen community will be provided.

The second year nursing students have decided the Castro Drive, Upper Pasonanca to be the area of
focus. With this regard, financial assistance is greatly needed as the students aim to raise enough funds in order
to establish an effective program addressing the main identified problem of the chosen community. Moreover,
the students would like to appeal for your assistance and donation to guarantee that this COPAR will truly be a
success.
