The Rock is a musical genre volatile, its origins back to the late 1940 of the
popular styles of the day, country blues and jazz. the rock music is performed with
electric guitars, bass, drums and sometime piano and usually accompanied by
lyrics sung by a vocalist.

Elvis Presley, The Rolling Stones and The Beatles were the rock's pioneers artists.
The Beatles was the band most influential in the history of rock music.

The pop-rock in Spanish had a great development in the '80s and '90s, was born in
Spain and Latin America, the pioneers were Nacha Pop, Radio future, Mecano,
Cabinet, los prisioneros and Heroes del Silencio.

Andres Calamaro is one of the most popular pop/rock songwriters, he is an
Argentine musician, He became one of the main icons of the Argentine rock in the
last two decades and has sold over 1.3 million copies.

Andrs Calamaro began his music career at a very early age (17 years old). Later,
he joined Los Abuelos de la Nada, composed most of the group's hits, as "Mil
Horas," "As Es el Calor," "Sin Gamuln," and "Costumbres Argentinas."

In 1984 Calamaro recorded his first album: "Hotel Calamaro". he also worked as
a producer for bands like los Enanitos Verdes, los Fabulosos Cadillacs, and Don
Cornelio y la Zona.

In 1991 he went to Spain and founded Los Rodrguez. This band released its last
album in 1997. In 2000 he released a 5-CD album called "El salmn". He later
recorded a new album in 2004, El Regreso, this is my favorite album

His next album was La Lengua Popular, released in 2007. The following year,
Calamaro released album Dos son Multitud, Spain with Fito & Fitipaldis. in 2010
he released On the Rock.
