FIRST STEP: Lift your car.

Use either jacks or

ramps. YOU MUST PUT THE HANDBRAKE
SECOND STEP: Let car heat up a bit to get the oil
warm. ONLY 2 or 3 minutes
THIRTH STEP: Remove the oil cap. Open the
hood and locate the oil cap on top of the engine
FOURTH STEP: Find the oil pan. Under your car,
IS a flat metal pan closer to the engine than the
transmission. HERE YOU HAVE A EXAMPLE
FIFTH STEP: Remove the oil plug
SIXTH STEP: Wait. It will take several minutes for
all the oil to drain out of the car.
SEVENTH STEP: Locate the filter assembly.
Typically, they're white, blue, or black cylinders
EIGHTH STEP: Unscrew the oil filter.
NINETH STEP : Prepare the new filter. Lubricate
the gasket WITH THE NEW OIL.
TENTH STEP: Carefully screw on the new
lubricated filter
ELEVENTH STEP : Add new oil to the car at the
fill hole.
TWELFTH STEP: Replace the fill cap.
THIRTEENTH STEP : Start the engine.
FOURTEENTH STEP: Reset the oil change light.
