I am concern at the recent
spate of family violence and
killings in the Province by our
members, it is very disturbing
and traumatic not only for the
organization but also for family
members. As police
management we therefore
appeal to every SAPS member,
employee, manager,
commander and family
member who has a
responsibility in this regard to
be aware and take care of the
emotional state and wellbeing
of our colleagues. We have
good prevention programmes
registered under our Employee
Health and Wellness (EHW)
programme as well as from
external professional
providers. Let us work
together to cure the suicide in
our ranks.
