c Forbes Marshall High Pressure Multistage Drain Valve ‘The ACT X 83 Angle Pattern Drain Valve is designed for High Pressure Drain service. Typical applications for this valve are Reheater and Turbine Drain Lines, These vaives are designed for Pressure Drops as high as 200 bar. The Mulistage Drain Valve design combines the advantages of a High Pressure Stop valve and the reliability of a typical Drain Valve design, ‘The valve has a Single seal with siots on the spindle which help to reduce pressure in multiple stages, Due to the unique location ofthe slots, the flow 's kept away from the seat, preventing wire drawing of the valve seat. The sealing area is further strengthen by stelite deposition al valve seat, The spindle, control plug and seal are nitrided to resist erosion and wear. Tre control plug is guided throughout ils travel by the seat bush, eliminating the harmful effects of vibration. The slots in the control plug and those in the seat bush help maintain low noise levels when the valve is in operation. The control plug and spindle are manufactured from a single bar to ensure stability in operation ‘The valve yoke is provided with a roller thrust bearing for ease of operation. High density pure graphite rings and roller bumishing of the spindle and sluffing box bore, eliminate leakage through gland packing, The Valve can be operated by @ hand wheel or with an electical actuator without modifying the yoke.
