Reflection

Writing is a difficult process; being interesting and cohesive is hard

enough without trying to be original in the age of Just ask Google. Yet
knowing that imitation is the highest form of flattery was helpful in
my writings as I could draw from some of my favorite authors using
their tones, sense of humor and styles and incorporate them into a
slightly sarcastic yet straightforward style of storytelling that I
actually find fun to attempt. My Midterm analysis was a great
experience because I was lucky enough to have been shown a fresh film
like God Grew Tired of Us to work off of. It was raw and
heartbreaking and a beautiful story of the human existence.
Contrasting the importance of preserving our humanity and emotional
dignity while charging off into this plugged in manic roller coaster of a
future that evolution is plodding the human race into is a delicate issue
to write about and an even more delicate balance to live through.
