withhim.

III.Procedures:Includewhatyouwillsay/do.Listdirectionsforactivitiesandtransitions.Providean
anticipatedtimeframeforeachactivity/transition.Youalsoneedtoanticipatethewaysinwhichyou
mightneedtoextendoradaptyourlessonandhavealternativematerials,activities,etc.prepared.

ACivilWarreenactorwillvisittheclassasaguestspeakerwillshareabouthisequipmentandtellstories
aboutlifeasasoldierinthewar.Studentswilltaketurnsholdingareplicagun,bullets,clothing,andother
militaryequipmentandrepeatwhateachpieceofequipmentiswhileholdingeachitem.

StudentswilldramatizewhatatypicalCiviltoWarSoldierhadtofaceonadailybasis,byreflectingonadigital
picturetakenofthem.Fromtheirreflectionstheywillcomposeablogpostdetailinghowitliterallyfeelstocarry
somuchweight,makingsuretofinishtheassignmentforhomeworkifneedbe.
