CONTROL THE SINGLE ACTING AND DOUBLE ACTING CYLINDER USING PILOT VALVE

TO ACTUATE SINGLE AND DOUBLE ACTING CYLINDER IN A PNEUMATIC CIRCUIT
APPARATUS REQUIRED
SINGLE ACTING CYLINDER
3/2 SOLENOID VALVE
5/2 SINGLE, DOUBLE PILOT VALVE
AIR SERVICE UNIT
CONNECTING TUBES
PROCEDURE
The compressed air is connected to the FRL unit by using connecting tubes
The air is distributed to the solenoid valves and then in to the single acting cylinder
First the tube solenoid valve is connected to single acting cylinder
For double acting cylinder 5/2 solenoid valve is used
Solenoid is connected to either capacitive (or) inductive sensor
RESULT
Thus the single acting and double acting cylinder are actuated by using pilot valves.

THE COMPRESSOR IS CONNECTED TO THE FRL UNIT BY USING CONNECTING TUBES
AIR IS SUPPLIED FROM FRL UNIT TO SOLENOID
SOLENOID ARE ACTUATED EITHER BY CAPACITIVE OR TOUCH SENSOR
A DOUBLE ACTING CYLINDER IS CONNECTED TO THE SOLENOID
AIR IS USED FOR DOUBLE ACTION
RESULT
THUS DOUBLE ACTING CYLINDER IS ACTUATED BY USING 5/2 SOLENOID VALVE.

AIR FROM COMPRESSOR IS GIVEN TO THE FRL UNIT
A 5/2 SOLENOID VALVE IS CONNECTED TO THE FRL UNIT
TWO PORTS OF THE DOUBLE ACTING CYLINDER IS CONNECTED TO THE 5/2 SOLENOID VALVE.
SPDT SWITCH IS CONNECTED TO THE 5/2 SOLENOID VALVE
FOR BY CONTROLLING USING PUSH BUTTON SWITCH , ONE TERMINAL SOLENOID VALVE IS
REQUIRED.
RESULT
THUS THE DOUBLE ACTING CYLINDER IS CONTROLLED BY USING SPDT AND PUSH BUTTON SWITCH

SWITCH ON THE ELECTRICAL POWER SUPPLY UNIT WITH MOTOR
TO SWITCH ON THE POWER SUPPLY TO CONTROL UNIT
OPEN THE LAB VIEW SOFTWARE IN THE SYSTEM
INTER FACE HYDRAULIC TRAINER WITH SYSTEM USINGRS-232
OPEN THE FORCE GO TO OPERATE CLICK THE RUN THAN POWER ON (BELOW)
NOW EXTEND THE SYSTEM BY PRESSING THE UP BUTTON
LOAD CELL INDICATE THE FORCE VALUE IN THE MONITOR
NOW ADJUST THE PRESSURE REGULATOR AND SET THE MAXIMUM PRESSURE AS 25Kg/cm2
Retract the cylinder.
Once again forward the cylinder you have adjust the pressure in pressure regulator
You have seen the force value in monitoring
Repeat the force value for different pressure
