vintage train car.
The Bulletin and our sponsors are excited to
bring to you this rare opportunity to ride the
rails through the picturesque villages and
towns of Eastern Connecticut.
Well start out at The Bulletin offce at
10 Railroad Place (the Norwich train station)
with the train arriving at 9:00 a.m.
Schedule
9:15 a.m.: Begin boarding the train at The
Bulletin offce, 10 Railroad Place, Norwich (the
former Norwich Train Station.) Passengers must be
on the train by 9:45 a.m.
9:45 a.m. Train departs Norwich and heads
north along the scenic Shetucket River through
Windham County to Putnam.
11:00 a.m. Arrival in Downtown Putnam. Here,
passengers can get off and explore the shops and
restaurants in Putnam or remain on the train for an
extended ride north to Oxford, Mass., and back.
3:15 p.m. Train departs Putnam for the hour-long
trip back to Norwich. Passengers must board the
train by 3:15pm. .

FYI
The Dining Car offers lunch fare including
hamburgers, hotdogs, chips, snacks and beverages.
All passengers have access to the lunch counter, but
seating in the dining car is by ticket only. Passengers
are welcome to pack their own lunch, as well.
For those getting off the train in Putnam, the website
discoverputnam.com has a comprehensive list of
dining, shopping and recreation options.
An informational brochure including a description
of key sites along the trip will be distributed prior to
boarding the train October 11.
Fall is a beautiful time of year, but we do live in
New England so please remember to wear/pack
outerwear and footwear appropriate for the season.
Seats are frst come, frst serve upon boarding your
particular car.
