Signals, standard test signals, Types of systems, LTI system, properties of LTI system,
convolution integral.
Trigonometric Fourier Series, Symmetry considerations, Exponential Fourier Series,
Application of Fourier Series: Spectrum analyzer Filters. Fourier Transform, its properties,
Parsevals Theorem.
Transformations: Introduction to Laplace Transform, Comparison of Fourier and Laplace
Transform.
Z-Transform, Region of Convergence, Properties of Laplace and Z Transform, Inverse ZTransform.
MTE
Independent and Dependent Sources, Source Transformation, Mesh and Nodal Analysis.
Circuit theorems: Superposition, Thevenin, Norton and Maximum Power theorem,
application to dc and ac circuits.
Application of Laplace Transform and Fourier Transform to circuit analysis.
Network Synthesis & Filters: Hurwitz polynomials, Positive real function, synthesis of one
port networks, synthesis of RL, RC by Faster and Cauer method.
Classification of filters, filter network, characteristic impedance in the pass band and stop
band, constant K and m-derived, BPF, BRF.
