Modeling

The teacher models what it is expected of the student


and it is usually a step-by-step procedure. Ex. Student
ask how to pronounce big words.
Hands-On Manipulative
Manipulatives are learning aids such as a microscope,
tiles for counting/making sets etc.
Ex. What picture will the puzzle show once put
together?
Realia
Student has access to the real thing, such as a can of
soda. Ex. Finding out the nutritional facts of one can
of Cola.
Commercial or Teacher-Made Drawing
The use of pictures that depicts any object, process or topic.
Ex. This is a ear and these are the other parts and functions
of the human ear.
Overhead Projector
To show clues by writing words, sketching out to
connect verbal or written to picture, must have both.
Ex. Student did not understand the food chain and
needs more details.
Demonstration
The process of how something happens.
Ex. How to cut out a star
Timeline
Visually represents events in sequence/can be added
on to
Ex. What will take place in the events of graduation
Multimedia
Use of tape recorder, video, computer, Elmo etc.
Ex. What happen in World War II?

Graph
Visually represents numbers and amounts.
Ex. How to prove how many girls and boys
attend school?
Maps
Use in Science, Geography or History
Ex. Where do Siberian Tigers are located in the
world?
