When you buy a saptashati parayan book every author puts it differently.... .many devotees are
confused how to recite it...do not worry....i think after reading this series and understanding the
meaning of the " saptashati parayan" you will understand it more better!
There are two methods of reading
" trayangam" and " navangam"

In trayangam::::::: devi kavacham....argala stotra....devi keelakam stotra are read along with "
navakshari mantra.......

Navangam::::::: verses to be recited prior to reading devi mahatmya::::::: devi nyasa...devi
avhana... Devi namani.... Argala stotra...... Keelakam stotra..... Devi hrudaya......dhala....devi
dhyana.....devi kavach....

Devi suktam is two types....one in the beggining and the other at the end of devi mahatmya
A) ratri suktam:::::::::: there are 8 verses composed by " vaak" (speech) daughter of maharishi
ambrarin. she expressed truth and identified as brahma shakti.
This sukta talks about " ratri"( night) which means deep sleep or deep meditation....
The following are the 8 verses translated into english::::::
1)om ratri vyakhyadiyati putra devyaksabhih vushva aadhi sriyo dhita
Meaning::::::::::: the night is coming now that goddess by her eyes vigils many places and takes
all by her splendour.....even when we sleep( deep meditation) my atma( jivatma) is an observet
and all the things are replayed and arranged what we do in our waking period.
