Welcome to the 2014 2015 Season
Why Band Camp?
Band Camp will run 2 weeks from Monday
thru Friday from 8-5. It is mandatory.
Band Camp Gives Students a Chance to
Acclimate.
Students start off High School with a sense of
community.
Students learn how to cooperate and how to
become leaders.

Student Participation
Student will need to rehearse after school 2
days out of the week.
There are special Rehearsals on Saturdays for
competition
Students are expected to learn music and the
show to competitive level.
Students will make every performance.
Boosters
The Band Boosters are an organized group that
assist the students in raising money to forward
the goals of the Instrumental Music
Department.
Parents are elected by other parents to officer
positions within the organization, but all
parents have a vote if theyre a booster.

Officer positions include President, Vice
President, Treasurer, Secretary
Each position has particular responsibilities
and meets monthly to keep everyone updated
on the progress of the organization.
The boosters are in charge of setting up and
organizing fundraisers
Dues/Fundraising
The band raises money through dues and
fundraisers
Dues are monies the boosters collect to help
pay for music, clean the uniforms, acquire new
instruments, pay for coaches, and go to
competition(s).
Every student is responsible for $200.00
Except for Drum line, which is responsible for
$300.00

The students will use the schools website and various
facebook pages. Parents will be able to see the
instrumental music departments calendar and updated
webpage www.lahsmusic.weebly.com. Parents are
invited to all functions held by the band or the
boosters. The Facebook page for the Marching band
is 14-15 Los Amigos HS Marching Corps. The
Facebook page for the Drum line is Los Amigos HS
