INTASC Standard #8
Instructional Strategies
The teacher understands and uses a variety of
instructional strategies to encourage learners to develop deep
understanding of content areas and their connections, and to
build skills to apply knowledge in meaningful ways.

Description: This assignment was to give my Philosophy of
Classroom Management and how I will run my class. I have used
what I have learned thus far to determine how to run a
manageable classroom.
Rationale: To document my understanding of Standard 8:
Instructional Strategies, I have included my Classroom
Management PowerPoint. In completing this assignment I was
able to interpret my specific ideas and philosophies for classroom
management as well as what tactics I will use to prevent bullying.
I will also create a safe classroom that will be a productive
environment for all learners.
My Philosophy

I believe in creating a safe and secure
environment that will welcome, encourage, and
inspiring students. Students will feel
comfortable participating in activity while
having fun. Class time will implement needed
structure, routine, and developing life-long
learners.

Once children learn how to learn, nothing is going to
narrow their mind. The essence of teaching is to make learning
contagious, to have one idea spark another.
