Reaction Paper

President Aquino started his Fifth SONA recounting how the Philippines o
nce called as the sick man of Asia and transformed into one of the most promising
economy in Asia. He narrated how the government endured the corruption and hards
hips before his terms started. The President then expressed his sentiments how t
he national government transformed. This administration deserves a lot of credit
for what it has done for the country. It is now at investment rate, the economy
is flourishing, and there are no bloody conflicts or kidnappings. Plans for roa
d development and improvements, housing, schools, and other infrastructure are u
nderway.
Despite the improvements, there are matters deep in the division of the
system greatly affecting the country that have been left unmentioned. President
Aquino did not also mention the issue on the PDAF with many of the politicians a
re involved. There are many comparisons between his administration and the old,
and most of all, there is lot of hate expressed from his attackers. I appreciate
the positive and the improvements but avoidance of more pressing matters is not
that much development.
