Start with your paper


white side up.

6. Fold the tip of the
triangle down.

2. Fold two corners to
meet each other.

7. Turn it over.

8. Fold down the corner
so that it lines up with
the crease running down
the middle.

4. Fold one side in to
meet the crease running
down the middle of the
paper.

9. Repeat on the other
side.

5. Repeat on the other

10. Unfold back to
where you were at step
5.

11. Pinch alongside the
crease on each flap. Lift
up and fold it over

16. Fold the side of the
square to meet the
crease in the middle.

12. So that you create
this shape. (You should
be folding along pre-
existing creases.)

17. Repeat for the other
side.

13. Repeat on the other
side. Now you have a
little flap in the middle.

18. Fold the tip down.
Unfold the top and the
side folds so you are
back to the square in
step 15.

14. Open up that flap
and fold it down

19. Lift up the bottom of
the square

15. to create a square
shape.

20. And press down to
form a diamond shape.

21. Fold down the top
half of the triangle

26. Repeat on the other
side. You should be left
with a diamond shape
once again.

27. Take one of the
downward flaps and lift
it up

23. Lift up one of the
flaps on the kite shape.

28. tucking it behind
the flaps of the
diamond.

24. Fold down the top
part so that the top edge
meets the crease.

29. Repeat on the other
side.

back down.

30. Flip it over.

31. Fold back the top so
that the top edge is lined
up with the middle
crease.

Pikachus ears! You can
play around with this
step to make his ears as
expressive as you want.

side.

37. Repeat on the other

33. Flip it over again.

38. Now it is time to
form the face. You are
going to lift up the flap
of the diamond and tuck
it behind the rest of the
face.

34. You will notice
there is a flap of paper
on either side of the
diamond that you can
pull away.

39. You should be left
with a face that is
starting to look like
Pikachu!

35. Inverse fold the
paper

40. Next, fold the
bottom to one side along
the crease that will form
the bottom of Pikachus
body.

41. Repeat this crease
on the other side.

46. It should look like
this!

42. You will be left with
a flap in the middle.

47. Fold the tail back so
it is in proper position.

43. Crease it to form a
tail.

48. Add some zig-zag
folds into Pikachus tail.

44. Almost a tail! We
are going to open the
tail back up.

49. You can take the tip
of Pikachus tail and
flatten it out so the tail
is less pointy.

45. Fold each edge in
towards the center. It
will not lie perfectly
along the center. Aim
for a line from the
corner of Pikachus
body to the tip of the
tail.

50. You have finished
your Pikachu!
