MUSE mentor
Information about MUSE is shared with
all applicants. Individuals admitted into
the PBSPED program who are hired as
special education teachers (in-place) are
required to participate with MUSE.
School site and
complex level
contact
Mentor is assigned to a TC who is in-
place (teaching in a special education
classroom) and who is concurrently
enrolled in one of our licensure
programs.
Information about MUSE is shared
with TCs (B.Ed., PBSPED) the semester
they are completing their program. Te
Cohort Coordinator or Field Placement
Coordinator disseminates information
to candidates enrolled in one of our
programs.
Once graduating from of our
programs and acquiring a special
education teaching position, they
are contacted by MUSE (email, in-
person). Afer confrming desire for
support, the graduate is provided with
a MUSE mentor.
MUSE mentor provides program information:
Letter provided to principal describing MUSE
Contact with principal minimum 3 times per year
and as requested by principal
Program Coordinator contacts Instructional and
Mentoring Complex Coordinator (provides list of TCs
and graduates receiving support through MUSE)
Weekly contact: Classroom
observation/visit
