Microcontroller Based Intercom

Abstract:
An intercom (intercommunication device), talkback or door phones is a stand-alone
electronic communications system intended for limited or private dialogue. Intercoms can be
portable but are generally mounted permanently in buildings and vehicles. Intercoms can
incorporate connections to walkie talkies, telephones, and to other intercom systems over
phone or data lines and switch electronic.
Here, a microcontroller based intercom is constructed. It will read the extension
number entered by call originator and connects the call to the appropriate
destination phone.
Hardware Requirements:
1. AT89C51RD2/AT89S64.
2. CM8870.
3. Relays.
4. Voltage Regulator.
Software Tools:
1. Keil Cross Compiler.
2. Top-View Simulator.
3. Flash Programmer for Microcontroller.
