Anchor Chart Resources:

The following resources are examples of anchor charts that can be used and adapted to
accompany this unit. Some, like the pourquoi charts, are specific to this unit, and others, such
as the figurative language, theme, and close reading charts should be introduced in this first unit
and then added on to and referred to continuously as the school year progresses. These
examples demonstrate the content, strategies, processes and cues that are relevant to the
learning process. However, in order to be more meaningful, anchor charts should be tailored to
include examples relevant to the reading and learning that is occurring in your classroom.
