anted to ta%e this o((ortunity to tell you a little a!out mysel&$
)his is my si'th year tea"hing at *ISS and I am en+oying li&e in Seoul$ ,e&ore
mo-ing to .orea, I taught third grade &or three years at the International Christian
S"hool o& /ima in Peru$ 0ne o& my &a-orite things a!out tea"hing internationally is
!eing a!le to or% ith students ho "ome &rom many di&&erent "ultures$ My
(arents are missionaries ith 1y"li&&e ,i!le )ranslators 2SI/3 and I gre u(
tra-eling$ I as !orn in Indonesia here my &amily li-ed until I &inished third
grade$ /ater e li-ed in Costa 4i"a and Colom!ia as ell as se-eral states in the
5SA$ I ha-e also s(ent time in Canada, ,oli-ia, Malaysia, Cam!odia and Me'i"o$ All
o& this tra-eling has gi-en me an a((re"iation &or di&&erent "ultures as ell as an
understanding o& the international "ommunity$ I ho(e that through my tea"hing I
"an hel( students understand the multi6"ultural "ommunity they li-e in, so that
they "an ta%e ad-antage o& its many !ene&its and !e (re(ared &or its "hallenges$
I graduated &rom 1heaton College in Illinois ith a ,a"helor#s degree in
Elementary Edu"ation$ I also ha-e a Master o& S"ien"e in Edu"ation 2Curri"ulum,
Instru"tion, and Assessment3 through 1alden 5ni-ersity$ I am e'"ited to a((ly all I
