This refers to your letter of even date seeking clarification or confirmation of the news article
entitled "D&L hikes profit goal after strong 1H" published in the August B, 2014 issue of the Manila
Standard Today. The article reported in part that:
"D&L Industries lnc. raised its net income torget

the year after posting strong
first-half

prospecE afbigger revenues in the next semester,
D&L chieffinance officer Alvin Loo said in briefng net income in 2014 would likely increase 78 percent
to 22

an earlier estimate of mid to high teens growth.
With record'high prafit in the secand quarter and the

halt the company is poised to sustain the momentum,
with an acquisition likely over the next 12 manths.
'We may announce something over the next 12 manths whichwill have signifrcant cantribution ta our net income
and revenues,' Lao said,
we confirm that the above-quoted statements made by our Executive Vice
president
and chief
Finance 0fficer, Mr. Alvin D. Lao, are accurate. As regards the possibility
ofan acquisition, we wish to
elaborate that we are still in the process of evaluating potential acquisitions. We would like to be
certain that any potential acquisition is aligned with and will add strategic value to our core business.
However, no firm decision has been made on this matter as of date. Since the initial public offering,
the Company has relentlessly searched for possible acquisitions as represented to the public during
the initial offerins.
