Step 1: Unzip the contents of the file. If you are reading these directions, congratulations, you have already completed this step.
Step 2: Either directly unzip the contents directly to the Apophysis folder (it should be found under Program Files) or simply move the UGR gradient file directly to the Apophysis folder.
2 Step 3: There are two ways to access the Gradient Browser in Apophysis. To access this window directly, go to File -> Gradient Browser.
Since I usually have the Gradient tab open under the Adjust window when I'm working in Apophysis, I typically access the Gradient Browser in the following way. First, select the Gradient button from the toolbar in the main Apophysis window.
3 Step 3 contd: Next, click the second button from the right on the bottom of the window to access the Gradient Browser.
Step 4: The Gradient Browser should open.
To access the new gradients, click on the Open.. button, represented here by a file folder icon in the bottom right corner of the window.
4 Step 5: Clicking on the Open.. button should take the user directly to the Apophysis folder. Make sure that the file type is set to *.ugr and not *.map.
5 Step 5 cont'd.: If the Open window does not go directly to the correct location, look for the Apophysis folder under Program Files.
Step 6: All of the gradients contained in each UGR file should now be accessible in the Gradient Browser window. Click once to preview the desired gradient and double-click to select.
6 Additional Information
