Being a passenger in a vehicle or a driver of a motorbike a person is

exposed to various strains:

Dynamic work caused by steering and driving the vehicle
Psychic strain caused by traffic conditions, weather conditions
and road conditions
Physical strain caused by noise emissions and vibrations
Generally the vibrations occurring in a motor vehicle are caused by:
Inertial forces and torques of the drive unit
Driving maneuvers
Road unevenness.
The factors that have a significant influence on the human
perception respectively the subjective degree of perception of
vibrations are:
Frequency
Intensity
Point of exposure
Direction of exposure
Time of exposure
Posture of the human body
From a technical point of view the passenger can be seen as an
oscillator with several frequencies of resonance (Fig.). For the rating
of the vibrational strain it is important to consider the excitation
acceleration as well as the frequency with respect to the human
bodys eigen frequencies.
