Fasten each split jamb to the front edge of the split stud,

using 8d finish nails. Maintain a 3/16" clearance on both sides


of door.
G. INSTALL SPLIT JAMBS
1. Measure and cut the split jambs to size. With the
door open all the way, hold the jambs against the
split studs to confirm that the door is flush with
jambs. If necessary, shim between the bumper and
door until the door is flush.
2. Fasten each split jamb to front edge of split stud,
using Sd finish nails. Maintain 3/16" clearance on
both sides of door.
H. INSTALL SPLIT HEAD JAMB
1. Measure and cut the split head jambs to size.
2. Use 1
1
/2" wood screws driven through countersunk
pilot holes to attach the head jamb on the side that
has access to the lock arm of the hangers. This
allows for easy removal of the door.
3. Attach the other head jamb using 6d finish nails.
Maintain 3/16" clearance on each side of the door.
I. FINISHING TOUCHES
1. Install the included door guides on both sides of
the door near the floor at the mouth of the pocket.
2. Install the latch hardware according to the
manufacturer directions.
3. Finish the wallboard and install casing around
the door.
4. Fill all nails holes with wood putty, then paint
or stain the jambs and casing as desired.
Attach the head jamb on the side that has access to the
lock arm of the hangers with 1 W' wood screws dri ven
through countersunk pilot holes.
Install the door latch hardware according to the
manufacturer instructions.
