To whom it may concern,

I am writing to endorse Erin Madonna as a teacher in your program. My twin daughters were
lucky enough to be in Mrs. Madonnas class last year. Her compassion, energy, and creativity
provided them with not only an excellent educational experience, but also a secure
environment in which they flourished.

I had the unique opportunity to see how Mrs. Madonna brought out the best in two very
different students. Our daughter Zoe suffers from some anxiety. Within days, Mrs. Madonna
had empowered Zoe to take control of her own emotions without belittling the anxiety she
was feeling. Zoe grew in confidence in this safe setting and thrived to the point where she
was often first to raise her hand and participate.

Our other daughter Jenna likes to be challenged. Mrs. Madonna found ways to increase
Jennas natural curiosity while honing her innate reasoning skills. She told me that she and
Jenna often shared a secret smile because Jenna often understood nuances that the other
students may not have noticed.

Mrs. Madonna also has the type of approachability that encourages families to start a
dialogue about their questions or concerns. She was always willing and available to
brainstorm with me regarding the girls strengths and challenges, both inside and outside of
the classroom.

But the biggest endorsement I can give to Mrs. Madonna is the way she views her students
holistically. It is never about the 9am-3pm school day with Mrs. Madonna. She takes time to
get to know their families, their passions, and their concerns. She is firm with her students but
so incredibly caring that I dont think they realize that they are following rules she models for
them what is right and what is wrong, in both academics and as good members of the
community.

The foundation that Mrs. Madonna has given my daughters has increased their love of
learning as well as their sense of citizenship and empathy. We truly could not have asked for a
better educator and role model for our children.
