MODERNIZED SUMMARY OF Troilus and Cressida The year was 1924 and the Italian Mafia, led by the notorious and untouchable Al Capone, had completely taken over Brooklyn, New York. They smuggled liquor and contraband, ran the largest underground prostitution den in America and they could easily get rid of anyone they want without any fear of the authorities because even the government was under his payroll. New York was his private playground and on the 15 th of October that year, the Russian Mafia moved into Queens, New York and uprooted all of the Italian Mafias roots. Seven (7) years ago, the largest Mafia War in America started and this has been the very first time where the Italian Mafia lost territory to the Russians. Taras Romanov, son of Pavel Romanov, the leader of the Russian Mafia, was in Brooklyn one day to contact one of their agents on the inside who was the brother of the Priest in Brooklyn, Yuri Nikolai, and he sees Kressana Nikolai, the one and only daughter of the priest, and falls in love with her. Yuri agrees to help Taras get Kressana out of Brooklyn and into Russian Territory. Meanwhile, Al Capone notices that his men have been in great disarray and the Russians are gaining more and more ground. One of his most trusted men, Ulysses, finds out that his best lieutenant, Achillio Auditore, has been slacking off with Paolino Calvetti because they dont think of The Sopranos, 12 men that serve as advisers to Al, deserves his authority and rank. Herpov Romanov, the fiercest and most ruthless Russian hitman who lead the offensive advance of the Russian Mafia, starts causing trouble in Northern New York to hopefully eliminate the leader of that area which was Achillio. Umberto Donatello, hoping to send Achillio a message that he is expendable and can be replaced, sends Agostino Spaziano to deal with Herpov. Back in Queens, some of the Russians want to go back to the motherland because they dont see any point to the sacrifices that theyre making to make New York Russian territory. Herpov seconds the motion but Taras wins the Russians over and the war goes on. Meanwhile in Brooklyn, Terenzio Rambruto, Agostinos right hand man, is becoming a tyrant of a lieutenant just because his comrade, Agostino, is starting to climb the ladder, surpassing Achillios rank in the mafia and is given the order to eliminate Herpov the next day. That night, Yuri gets an opening to get Kressana out of Brooklyn and into one of their safehouses in Queens where Taras was waiting. He got here there safely and Taras spends the night with Kressana. After her daughters disappearance, Carveho Nikolai, a priest in Brooklyn who was secretly a part of the Italian Mob, pleads the Cahones, the board of directors of the Italians, to release one of their captives go in exchange for her daughter, Kressana. Negotiations were made and Domenico Arusticceli, an Italian highwayman, was tasked to get Kressana out of Queens. After the negotiations, Agostino uses this opportunity to carry out the order to kill Herpov and by afternoon, a huge gunfight between Russians and Italians broke out in downtown Queens. Load of shell casings poured over the roads but neither Agostino nor Herpov were killed. Achillio arrives and proceeds to verbally assault Herpov and the Russians but a truce was made and they all go back to their separate territories for now. That night, in the wake of the truce, Umberto and Taras sneaks into one of the Italians safehouses and witnesses the negotiations of an arranged marriage between Domenico and Kressana. Furious, Herpov drives to Brooklyn despite his familys objection and confronts the Italians. The Russians ravage a small part of eastern Brooklyn and leaves numerous Italian mobsters with bullet holes in their heads; one of them was Paolino Calvetti, Achillios bestfriend. Achillio suddenly gets the urge to get back at the Russians and prepares for an all- out attack in Queens. There, Herpov and Achillio meet but neither is killed. Realizing that they are losing the fight, Herpov runs through a near ally and tries to escape but Achillio sees him and takes a couple of his men through another ally to try to intercept Hector. They caught Herpov alone and kill him. Without any leadership, the Russians trying to defend themselves against the attacking Italians quickly fell. With most of the Russian resistance gone, Achillio ties Herpovs body to the hood on Herpovs 1918 Cadillac and drives around the streets of Queens, striking fear into any remaining pockets of Russians. After their terrible loss, the Russians go back to the motherland or west of New York to their other Russian comrades to mourn for the lives of their brothers and sisters who perished under the Italian Massacre.
