Day 1: Lesson 1
Lesson #1
After a mystery bucket motivational activity and video, and a brief introduction to character
traits, students will discover his/her own character traits and create a silhouette. Then the class
will read the book, "Thank You, Mr Faulkner" by Patricia Polacco and complete the character
traits chart with no more than 1 error (examples on Buncee).

Day 2: Lesson 2
Lesson #2
After reading the story, "Peppe The Lamplighter" by Elisa Bartone, and having previously read "Thank
You, Mr. Falkner" by Patricia Polacco, students will use the PadLet app the create a whole class Venn
diagram comparing the two main characters from the books based on a teacher-created rubric.

Day 3: Lesson 3
Lesson #3
Objective: After being paired up, students will create a Glogster about their partner's
character traits, including 5 traits, pictures, and an example that proves their partner possess
the traits given.
