UNIT TITLE(S): Computer Applications
TEACHER(S): Mr Nic Bendeli and Ms Leigh Gregerson

UNIT GOALS:
The Year 8 course is an introduction to computer science, programming using Scratch,
sound editing and animation. The course is taught in six fifty-minute periods per fortnight
for the semester. Students learn to plan, work in teams and produce IT based products.

CONTENT:
Introduction to Computer Science
Scratch programming
Audacity audio editing and processing.
Flash animation using frame by frame and classic tween techniques.
Animation project.
