Students enrolled in Photo/Mixed Media at Eaglecrest High School

will spend the year exploring alternative darkroom techniques and experiment
with combinging photography projects with traditional art media. Students will be
expected to expand their creativity by creating work that is conceptual. We will research
historical photographers and artists and present what weve discovered to the class. There will be
written assignments and homework throughout the year. Students are expected to be active
members of class discussions and critiques. There will be a number of art shows this year in and
out of the building, and your work will be submitted to these shows and the school website for
display. By the end of the semester, Photo Mixed Media will leave you prepared for more
advanced classes and/ or artistic endeavors in photography.

ROOM AT ANY TIME photo supplies and chemicals are often toxic and
dangerous; ingestion of these will get you sick, or worse.
BE RESPECTFUL! Show respect to everyone and everything! Respect
your classmates, the teacher, the classroom, the substitutes, your work
and the art room materials.
