Uzair Farooq Butt was elected president of PakSoc, receiving 25 votes (71.4% of turnout) in the election against Mujtaba Zaka who received 9 votes (25.7% of turnout). A proposed amendment to the PakSoc constitution to allow graduate students to be vice president failed to pass, with 16 yes votes (55.2% of turnout) falling short of the required 67% threshold.
