Konen began the school year at Ebeling Elementary School as a student
teacher in a kindergarten classroom. She, along with the teacher, created a
classroomenvironment that was appropriate, and she managed her students
to create an atmosphere that was safe and conducive to learning.
Ms. Konen is dedicated to the task of being a successful teacher. She
strives to grow in her knowledge of the curriculumand instructional
strategies, and uses this information to better herself in the classroom.
While Megan was serving as our student teacher, she demonstrated positive
rapport with her students. She recognizes the need for both long and short
range planning, and the importance of good lesson planning for student
success. She is always wi l l i ng to help out at after school and evening
events, and has made a connection to the Ebeling community.
Since the completion of her assignment here, Ms. Konen has been called
upon numerous times to fi l l other positions in our building. She is
dependable, and makes herself available at short notice as well as for
securing dates aheadof time. Currently, she is serving as the long term
substitute in the kindergarten classroomshe was in for her student teaching
assignment. The transition went very smoothly, and she has not missed a
beat, with the students continuing their learning without disruption.
