Symbol Scavenger Hunt

Objective: Students will search and insert many symbols into Word Documents.
Click on Insert in the menu bar. Then on Symbol. Notice the font area of the
window that popped up. You can change fonts to see different symbols offered. Be
sure to look at the symbols under these fonts:
Webdings
Wingdings 1, 2 and 3
Symbol
Monotype Corsiva
Click once on any of the tiny symbols to see a larger view. If you want to use that
symbol in your document, click the Insert button at the bottom of that window.
Scavenger Hunt Directions
Open Microsoft Word, Title this document "Symbols". Center the title, and use the
Comic Sans font, bold, and size 12. Put your name just below the title. Enter twice
to allow space below your title and name. Copy and Paste the box below. Insert as
many of these symbols as you can find. There are 3 examples is provided below.
They should also be size 14 and made Bold.
The first box is worth 2 pts each and the second box is worth 5 pts each. This
makes a total of 145 pts = A+. This also depends if you put the correct symbol next
to the word.
