Inorganic pigments are of great interest in literature and in various industrial applications,
which has been increasingly diversified in technology as pigments and more color durability
with more color options. The objective is to obtain ceramic pigments through the Pechini
method in the form of alumina nanoparticles doped with manganese. The Pechini method,
also called the polymeric precursor method for the preparation of ceramic materials. Thus it
was used citric acid, ethylene glycol, aluminum nitrate, manganese nitrate, as raw materials.
The powders were characterized by XRD, RAMAN, SEM, EDX, TG, DTA .The results
showed a series of responses to the phase transitions of alumina with different colors obtained
for pigments, and considering data from surface area and particle diameter.

Keywords: inorganic pigment, nanoparticles, alumina doped manganese.
