sum sys is an interdisciplinary program combining cs, psychology, philosophy, and

linguistics. where we study a lot of computer science, as youd expect from an engineer
at Stanford, but we also focus on the human aspect of all this. we try to understand how
people tick and how to make people interact with computers successfully.
