[COURSE INFORMATION]
International Economics will introduce you to recent trends and patterns in
international trade and finance. The course examines important issues in
international economics such as trade and growth, tariffs and trade restrictions,

economic integration, and international economic cooperation and policy


The goal of this course is to help the students understand how economies are
linked in the global market. Students at the end of this course should have a
clear understanding of what is behind the growth in international trade and how
international prices are determined.

PREREQUISITE
COURSE REQUIREMENTS

GRADING POLICY

Overall assessment will be based on the problem sets (20%), midterm exam
(30%), final exam (50%). There are no late exams or makeup exams.
Problem sets will be due at the start of lecture on the assigned day;
no late assignments will be accepted.
The textbook is International Economics: Theory and Policy by Krugman and

Obsfeld . Course materials will also be available through the course website.
