What is Literature?

"My love for literature is the result of my belief that there is great power in
stories. Literature is both deeply personal as well as a collective worldly
experience. I take great pleasure in exploring how vocabulary, sentences
structure, conflict, characters, plot-lines and tropes reveal who we are and
were as humans. The world is complicated, and humans require an infinite
amount of words to describe and analyze themselves. In all, my jovial joy of
studying literature is that there is always a new reality to discover. By
studying literature, I find myself discovering a new world to belong.
