Phetchabun Rajabhat University.
ABSTRACT
The purpose of this research is studying about local newspaper policy in
Phetchabun in good governance reinforcement of local government including
studying about role of local newspaper policy in Phetchabun and present the main
point in good governance reinforcement of the local government as well as potential
development of local newspaper policy in Phetchabun in good governance
reinforcement of the local government.
This quantitative research is studying population such as eight local
newspaper policy in Phetchabun, The name of newspaper go to Chatthai, Chaothai,
Prachatai, Phetchbunpost, Mualchon, Lukmueng ,Aksornnews and Eakarat. This is
Collected the data by write about the local government in the table and analysis the
data, Which present on January 1, 2012 until March 30, 2012 included total of
newspaper (25 copy) including interview newspaper editors, academics, local
government executives. And public sectors.
The result of this research found that is the most of local newspaper in
Phetchabun having policy by emphasize present the local news, disclose such as
cheating and hiding to urge to be responsible and explain that, must be supporter,
presenting be valuable the news to the public and considering nation, region, and
great king which maintain sovereignty and giving education to public. That policy is
not match up with analysis substance of supporting good governance. That found
the first page of the local newspaper in Phetchabun. The most of it present the main
point enhancing good governance in low. It is the same thing, which person attitude
column present main point of responsibility in enhancing good governance in low. It
be difference with editor column that realize with responsibility and the level of
good governance in a middle, that both of first page and person attitude column of

local newspaper in Phetchabun have present local government in general story in


the sense of positive such as esteeming or praising by The officer can work with good
governance but some editor reprimand about officer of local government that is not
responsibility on them performance.
While local newspaper in Phetchabun is development conform to analyze
because local newspaper in Phetchabun is not reinforce in good governance to
public because of substance in a newspaper sport only local politician, even though
the subject in a newspaper is look like peacefully but people will lose benefits. So
local newspaper in Phetchabun should show potential news and stimulate for
responsibility follow up good governance and democratic system of government.
