Armenia and Darfur Genocide

 Armenian Genocide
• Between the years 1894-1918 the mass killing that
started because of Sultan Abdul Hamid II that
encouraged the series of massacre which killed
between 200-500,000 Armenian.Later he was
overthrown during the Young Turk revolution in
1908.In 1914 the Ottoman Empire aligned with
Germany.Then April 24,1915,hundreds of Armenian
were rounded up then later executed by the Turkish
government.Between the years 1915-1918 there was
an estimated of 1 million Armenians that were killed
by Turkish authorities.This massacre was caused
because ethnic and religious tensions.
 Armenian Consequence’s
• Cultural looses effected many Armenian because
castles,town,villages and church’s were destroyed in result
of the genocide.There was priceless secrets and data that
were destroyed,leaving Armenians without rich heritage
about there ancestors.
• In the time of the Armenian genocide all there material were
captured and confiscated from the Ottoman.
• During the genocide the Turkish invaded the Armenians
territory took over 350,000 square km.The Armenians were
left only with 1/10th of the previous space.
 Darfur Genocide
• The genocide that has cause mass
destruction has claimed 400,000 lives died
and 2,500,000 displaced people.There is
about one hundred people that continue to
die each day and 5,000 die each month all
because of the government was frustrated by
poverty and neglect, so two Darfurian rebel
groups launched an uprising against the
Khartoum Government and the government
respond with a scorched-earth campaign.
 Darfur Consequence’s
• 81% reported their villages were
destroyed
• 80% reported their livestock was stolen
• 61% reported the killing of a family
member
• 67% reported witnessing bombs
• 44% witnessed or experienced a
shooting
