EXPERIMENT NO:-1

Subhash Chandra Date:-10/08/2014

2012uec1507 Batch:-EC 3

1.Objective:-
Using LTspice to obtained the Input and Output
characteristics of Bipolar Junction Transistor(BJT).
2.Theory:-

Input characteristics :-
I
B
(Base Current) is the input current, V
BE
(Base -
Emitter Voltage) is the input voltage for CE (Common Emitter) mode. So,
the input characteristics for CE mode will be the relation between I
B
and
V
BE
with V
CE
as parameter. The typical CE input characteristics are similar
to that of a forward biased of p - n diode. But as V
CB
increases the base
width decreases.
Output characteristics:-
Output characteristics for CE mode is the curve
or graph between collector electric current(IC) and collector -
emitter voltage (VCE) when the base electric current IB is the
parameter.

5.Result:-
The graph has been ploted of the Input and Output characteristics of
Bipolar Junction Transistor (BJT).
6. Conclusion:-
In input waveform input current is increases abruptly
when input voltage is greater than threshold voltage from base to
emitter. In output waveform when I
b
is low I
c
is also low and region
below when I
b
is almost zero is cut-off region and at high value of I
b
, I
c
is
also highly increases.
