1998. The Central Government School ing Change and Social Fluxion
NINGXin , ZHANG Tian- hong (Department of History, Beijing Normal
University, Beijing100875, China ) Abstract :The Emperor of Han Wu
who set up Tai Xue first introduced t he central government
schooling. It was t hen enlarged and modified by later dynasties.
Gradually it became a multi - subject , multi - level and
systemati2 cally - comprehensive system of the central government
schooling. Central government schooling was constantly geared to
the need of politics and economy in different periods , and these
modifications and changes not only re2 flected the change in
educational system and cultural academic schoolings , but also
deeply mirrored that of the whole society of social classes. This
article mainly introduces the change in the enrolling standards
from Han to Tang Dynasty , Therefore , government schooling was
not only t he privilege of t he higher classes , but also t hat of
the common people.
