This guide is intended for K-Lite Codec Pack only in order to play Hi10p.

This is not the only solution, but a easier one.

1. Download and install K-Lite Codec Pack v7.5 or above (advicesible to uninstal
l other codec packs before
doing so).
2. Download madVR and extract it in K-Lite Codec folder (or any folder you desir
e). Then double-click on
the install batch file (install.bat) to install.
*DO NOT DELETE THE FOLDER AFTERWARDS, madVR lives inside it and does not
copy itself anywhere
else.
3. Execute MPC-HC and select options.
4. Under Internal Filters tab (on the left), deselect the following (if any):
Source filters:- Transform filters:-
- AVI - MPEG-2 video
- Matroska - MPEG-2 video (DXVA)
- MP4/MOV - VC1 (DXVA)
- MPEG PS/TS/PVA - VC1 (ffmpeg)
- Ogg
5. Under Playback tab, check 'Auto-load subtitles'.
6. Under Subtitles tab, check 'Allow animation when buffering' and select 'Deskt
op' for maximum texture
resolution.
7. Under Playback tab, select Output and select 'madVR'.
8. Play any video. Select madVR settings at the tray (beside your clock) when ma
dVR icon is spotted.
9. Under Processing tab, click 'Decoding' and check the following with ffmpeg/li
bav software decoder:
- decode MPEG2
- decode VC-1
- decode h264
10. And, you are done.
