Region: Quebec Institution: McGill University Discipline: Architecture Apply Until: August 31, 2014 The School of Architecture at McGill University invites applications for a tenure-track position at the rank of Assistant Professor beginning in the academic year 2015-16 or earlier. The successful candidate must be qualified to offer graduate-level core seminars and project-based instruction in contemporary design theory, non-Western urbanism, spatial justice, and global practice. The candidate will be expected to advance funded project-based research across the schools professional, post-professional, and doctoral programs in his/her area of expertise. The candidate will lead and develop the research and pedagogical agendas in the stated areas and play a key administrative role in the graduate program offerings. Supervision of graduate students will be part of the candidates duties. Experience with smart teaching technologies is required. Candidates should have an exemplary record of research and teaching and should be able to interact with related disciplines such as computation and fabrication, engineering, urban design and housing, ecology, and the history and theory of architecture. Candidates must hold a professional degree in architecture and a PhD in architecture or a related field, and have a demonstrated track record of attracting competitive research funding.
