INSTRUCTIONS TO ELIGIBLE CANDIDATES

I. Eligibility Criteria

Stream SA: Students enrolled in the XI Standard (Science subjects) during the academic
year 2014 15 and have secured a minimum of 80% (70% for SC/ST/ & PWD) marks
in aggregate in MATHEMATICS and SCIENCE subjects in the X Standard Board
Examination.
Stream SX: Students enrolled in XII Standard (+2) [Science subjects] during the
academic year 2014-15 and aspiring to join an undergraduate program in Basic Sciences
(B.Sc./B.S./B.Stat./ B.Math/Int. M.Sc./M.S.) for the session 2015-16 provided they have
secured a minimum of 80% (70% for SC/ST/ & PWD) marks in aggregate in
MATHEMATICS and SCIENCE subjects in the X Standard Board Examination.
Stream SB: Students enrolled in the 1st year of B.Sc./B.S./B.Stat./B.Math/Int.
M.Sc./M.S. during the academic year 2014-15 and have secured a minimum of 60%
(50% for SC/ST/ & PWD) marks in aggregate in SCIENCE subjects in the XII
Standard (+2) Board Examination.

II. Mandatory Documents

Before clicking on Apply Online, you must ensure that scanned copies of the following
documents, which have to be uploaded while filling up the application form, are available
with you.
Scanned copy of your photograph.
Scanned copy of your signature.
Scanned copy of your X/XII Standard marksheet, attested by the Head of your present
Institute
Caste Certificate (for SC/ST/OBC-NCL, as the case maybe)
Disability Certificate (in case of Person With Disabily)

III. Instructions to candidates

1. The candidates should ensure they fulfill the prescribed eligibility norms of KVPY
before applying. Their admission to the Aptitude Test will be purely provisional subject
to satisfying of the eligibility conditions.
2. On the registration page for Online Applications, please ensure that you are providing a
valid email address and mobile number as all important communication will be sent to
the registered email address and mobile number.
3. The candidates must ensure that they complete the application in all respects, including
upload of all relevant documents. No physical documents need to be sent to KVPY if
you are applying online.
4. Please upload a scanned copy of your X/XII Standard Marksheet, duly attested by the
Head of the School/College/Institute that you are presently studying in.
5. Please upload a scanned copy of your Caste Certificate (if applicable) in the prescribed
form signed by a Competent Authority.
6. Please upload a scanned copy the Medical certificate from the prescribed authority in
case of Person with Disability (PWD) students certifying the percentage of disablity.
7. In case of candidates choosing to pay their fees offline through challan, you need to re-
login into the application form and fill up your transaction details and upload a scanned
copy of the challan to complete your application. Failure to provide the transaction
details will result in your application not being processed.
8. Candidates choosing Online payment will be guided to the Payment Gateway for
making payments with their Credit Card/ Debit Card/ Net Banking . You will receive
Transaction ID for the successful transaction, kindly preserve the Transaction ID for
future correspondence.
If you do not receive a transaction ID within 24 hours, please contact helpdesk.
9. Please ensure that all the information entered in the application form are correct by
clicking on Preview Application before submitting the application form. After
submission, you will not be allowed to edit any information.
10. The last date for completion of the application (both Online/Hard Copy) is 8th Sept
2014.
11. For candidates applying offline through hard copy of application form, KVPY will not
be responsible for postal delays in receiving the completed application forms.
