Part 1
#1 I dont agree whit author, because I think that in the article he denigrate the effort of all
the students that spend their live studying and trying to get a good job. I think that this text
can be a bad motivation to people that doesnt like to study and even for those how are
studying and will feel really disappointed with all that he said.
I mean, of course that we have great examples of people who get a really great life without a
great degree, but you cant say that the world you be ruled by that kind of person because
most of those you end on jobs that will not get a great life for them. Especially on these days,
you need to go well on school to get a better knowledge than other students to get a better
job or even get a job.

#2 I think that the students that will agree with it and will show this text to their parents will
be those who stay all the night playing or partying before and exams and who fail in a lot of
subjects at the same time that others are studying to get a good grade. Those who understand
the real valor of the grades and how is important to go well on all the subjects will be those
who will dislike this text because they will see that the author are not considering all the facts
that you need to see to get successful. I mean, of course you need life experience, but nobody
can be a good doctor, engineering, professor, dentist, etc. Without a good knowledge about
their areas of work, and it we only gat with study and research.

#3 Depends of the person, I dont think that the most amount of those people will get
successful the way they think they will, because in todays world, we need to be better than
the others to get what we want, to conquer what we planned for years. Like me, Im Brazilian
and planned more than a year to get where I am. I made this because I dont think that I will be
a great professional and be successful if I just think like the author said and I think that I will
have better chances to get what I want in the future than those who just agreed if the author I
throw their future to the wind. Resuming, I dont think that they will be like to be successful,
most of them you use the text as an excuse to go party before a text.

Part 2

#1 I think that the propose is to form better professionals. For example, if Im going to build
my house, I think that an engineering that get a 4-years university will be better prepared to
do the job than others that get only a 2-years or even those who had gone straight to work.
And I think it works for all jobs, medics, professors, lawyers, dentists, cooker, etc. Besides, I
think that a bigger time on a university will improve more the capacity of thinking of people,
and it can make than do great research and find a better material or a cure for some disease
that no one knows until today. But for all of this, you need to study and a lot. Not going to
parties I thinking that you will be successful even getting a lot of Cs and Ds just because Bill
Gates did it.
#2 What determines whether a person is successful in college depends of witch person. For
example, if a person enter in university to became a doctor or and engineering for example, his
grades will be very important in his carrier. Besides, if a person enter in university trying to get
in a university team like I think happens a lot here, what determines the success of this person
is if he or she entered in a team and even if he/she were able to get in a bigger team after the
university

#3 Depends of witch one again. I mean, Im trying to be a civil engineering specialized in
foundation so, I will just think Im successful when I became this kind of engineering and get a
job that give a good life for me and my family. I want to be recognized for my job, I want to be
one of the best in this area. But that doesnt apply to everyone. Some want to be just a
common worker, others dont want to study and will live in their parents house forever. I
mean, thats ok, if its what you want, but I mean, to measure of success depends on you. Each
person has a life and its you that have to measure your success. For me, the way we have to
use to measure this is how many things we want to do and he already done and how far your
are from to person you are and the person you want to be. For this, everyone has to stop and
think about what they want to do and what the already done and most important, what they
will do to improve this rate of success. I think this is sufficient to determinate how successful
you are.
