Costa Rica is a country located in Central America

that has unlimited tourist potential and is ranked as


one of the most visited international destinations.

One of Costa Ricas main sources of income is
tourism. Costa Rica is a democratic and peaceful
country, and it has not had an army since 1949.
The blue color stands for the sky, opportunities,
idealism and perseverance. The white color stands
for peace, wisdom and happiness. The red color
stands for the blood spilt in defense of the country,
and the warmth and generosity of the people.

The coat of arms represent the isthmus between the
Pacific ocean and the Caribbean Sea, with 3
volcanoes. The 7 stars stand for the 7 provinces of
Costa Rica.

Costa Ricans are proud to have had more
than a century of democratic tradition and
more than 50 years without a military. This
was abolished in 1948, and the money that
the country saves from not having armed
forces is invested in improving the quality of
life of its citizens. This contributes to the
social peace that makes Costa Rica a
welcoming place to visit.

The colon is the currency of Costa Rica,
named in honor of Christopher Columbus.

The official language is spanish and
most of the people are catholic.

Adventure travelers can
choose from a variety of
activities such as rafting,
snorkeling, kayaking, sport
fishing, surfing, and lots more.
The most challenging activity
will be choosing what to do!
Costa Rica occupies a privileged
spot in the heart of Central
America. Its territory of 19,652
square miles touches the
Caribbean Sea and the Pacific
Ocean. The Caribbean region of
Costa Rica stands out for its variety
of aquatic ecosystems and its
beautiful white and black sand
beaches, providing an ideal place
for rest or adventure activities.

genre, born in Heredia, Costa Rica in 1919, Although she said it was Mexican
