Resolution for the preservation of the Second Amendment

Based upon our rights secured in the Constitution of the United States, and its Second Amendment (1),
we request the duly elected Sheriff of Delta County, Gary A. Ballweg to adopt the following resolution
Therefore BE IT RESOLVED: The Sheriff of Delta County in the State of Michigan, Gary A. Ballweg
protect the individual right to own firearms as stated in the Second Amendment of the United States
Constitution, and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED: That any attempt to place restrictions on any lawfully possessed firearms
that are legal and unrestricted be rejected, and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED: The Sheriff of Delta County in the State of Michigan, Gary A. Ballweg support
the constitution of the United States, specifically the Second Amendment (1), and shall refrain from
enforcing any legislation and oppose any attempts to infringe on these inalienable rights. And support
the right of the people to keep and bear arms.


(1)The Second Amendment clearly states, A Well-regulated militia being necessary to the security of a
free state, the right of the People to keep and bear arms shall not be infringed.
