Course Purpose
KinderPrep students will explore through a variety of ways, science
topics to expand and understand their world.

SCI.KP.01 Students will understand and apply knowledge of the
basic needs of plants and animals and the interaction within their
physical environment.
KP.01.01 Students will apply knowledge of the basic needs of plants.
KP.01.02 Students will apply knowledge of the basic needs of animals.
KP.01.03 Students will be introduced to classifying organisms and their
physical environments.
KP.01.04 Students will be introduced to how to journal investigations
and explorations of plants and animals.


SCI.KP.02 Students will identify basic human body parts and their
functions.
KP.02.01 Students will identify human body parts.
KP.02.02 Students will show a representation of a person with human
body parts.
KP.02.03 Students will identify functions (senses) of body parts.

SCI.KP.03 Students will communicate knowledge of observable
information about daily and seasonal weather conditions.
KP.03.01 Students will communicate information about daily weather.
KP.03.02 Students will communicate information about seasons.
KP.03.03: Students will use tools to communicate data.
